Heritage,  culture, community, neighborhood, geography, environment –

these are all instrumental in shaping the people we become. It’s something to celebrate, or at least express. This project was born from putting down so many words and smearing so many canvases with the feeling of suspension, but not knowing who to share them with. Let’s share them with each other, because we can’t not create art about it. It’s there every time our tongue hits the back of our teeth. Our fingers always know the taste, it will always marinate whatever we spit to paper.

We all have maps for teeth, this is an invitation to bare them, or flash them – it’s the voice from behind them that we want to hear.
