.koschei the deathless
The world is in revolt, I tell you,
haven’t you heard? The world is in revolt!
Lately The News tastes like stale water.
Musty odor sticking to the back of your throat,
full of grit and slightly bitter but not enough to
stop you from drinking.
The world is in revolt, I tell you,
haven’t you heard? There is a plague ravaging
Africa and a drought in California.
Lately Bad News has been running wild,
a silver spider web caught in the wind.
Invisible in the bright, sun washed sky.
Then it drapes itself across your face,
slithering until your skin shivers.
The world is in revolt, I tell you, haven’t you heard?
The Levant is on fire and Marya Morevna
let devil out of her basement.
