COVER ART, ARTIST STATEMENT:

It’s a self portrait of myself as a house on fire. The word neighborhood reminds me of when my mom used to tell me, “Make your body your home. You’re the only one who needs to live in it”. Since then I’ve seen people as houses, as homes of their own. Sometimes they let you in for tea, for lunch, sometimes to stay over night. However, my body never felt like my own. I am a house on fire. I try to keep far away from others to keep the fire from spreading. But I’ve almost met those who feel the same burn, homes who have scorch marks of their own. And since then, I’ve felt more at home.
